Former Haverford College runner Jordan Schilit on fast track for Nike's Oregon Track Club

At the time of his graduation last year, Haverford College’s Jordan Schilit thought he would be continuing his academic career with the pursuit of a master’s degree in journalism. Instead, he is running professionally for Nike’s Oregon Track Club (OTC).

In elementary school, Schilit accompanied his mother to local 5K road races, joining her in running the last quarter-mile—in his flip-flops. When he got his first pair of running shoes, Schilit was finally able to kick off his running career, which came to a clunking halt as he was cut from Tampa Jesuit’s varsity squad as a freshman.

By the time his sophomore year rolled around, Schilit began increasing his mileage, earning a spot as a top-five finisher for Jesuit, and the title of team captain which he would fill during the following two seasons.
